Properties, selectors are all defined inside the parentheses with a proper indent and on the expected newlines. This Sass or Indented syntax is older syntax and is ignored in the new Sass files.

Sass is known as the stable and robust language that stabilizes the primary CSS language. There are three ways through which you can avail of Sass features. You can use it as a command-line tool, Ruby module, and a plugin for Rack-enabled framework. To run Sass programs on Windows operating systems, you must have Ruby installed on your system. To execute a Sass code, you can follow the following steps:

• To run the Sass code from the command line, utilize the sass input.CSS output.css command.

• To watch the file and update Sass changes to CSS accordingly, use sass --watch input.scss:output.css command.

• To ease supervising and maintaining the directory files, use the sass --watch app/sass: public/stylesheets command.
