PPT - Adding New Text Boxes

We talked about adding text to text boxes but what if we want to add a new text box. How do we insert a text box in PowerPoint?

To insert a text box in PowerPoint, perform the following steps.

Step 1: In the Home ribbon, under the Drawing section, click the Text Box icon.

Step 2: A cursor that looks like an inverted cross will appear in the insert text box.

Step 3: Insert a text box by clicking. You can now begin entering in the text area directly.

Step 4: You can also create a text box by clicking and dragging the cursor without releasing the click.

Select one of the boundaries represented by squares or corners highlighted by circles to change the size of the text box.
