ReactJS - Environment Setup

There are a few different ways to set up a development environment for a React application, depending on your needs and preferences. Here are the general steps that you will need to follow: 
1. Install Node.js: React is built on top of Node.js, so you will need to have it installed on your machine in order to use React. You can download the latest 
a version of Node.js from the official website (https://nodejs.org/) and install it using the instructions provided. 
2. Install a code editor: You will need a code editor to write your React code. There are many options to choose from, including popular choices such as Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text, and WebStorm. 
3. Set up a development server: You will need a development server to run your React application during development. There are a few different options to choose from, including create-react-app, which sets up a development environment for you. 
4. Create a new project: Once you have your development environment set up, you can create a new React project by using the appropriate command-line commands. For example, if you are using create-react-app, you can create a new project by running the following command: 

npx create-react-app firstapp 

This will create a new directory called "firstapp" that contains the files and dependencies needed to start building a React application. 
Hence, setting up a development environment for a React application requires installing Node.js, choosing a code editor, setting up a development server, and creating a new project. With these steps, you should be ready to start building your first React application. 

As we can see from the image below, there are three folders under the firstapp (node_modules, public, src) . 

In a React project, the node_modules directory is where the package manager installs all of the project's dependencies (libraries and packages) (such as npm or yarn). These dependencies are listed in the project's package.json file, and they are installed into the node_modules directory when you run the npm install or yarn install command. 

The public directory is typically used to store static assets that are needed by the application, such as images, fonts, and other files. These assets can then be referenced from the application's code or HTML files. 

The src directory is where the source code for the application is stored. This typically includes the JavaScript files that define the components and logic of the application, as well as any CSS or other static assets that are needed. The src directory is usually organized into subdirectories based on the purpose or type of the files it contains, such as components, containers, and redux. 

The file structure of a React project can vary depending on the size and complexity of the project, as well as the preferences of the developer. However, there are a few common patterns that are often followed. 

One common pattern is to use a top-level src directory to store all of the source code for the project. Within the src directory, you might have a number of subdirectories for different parts of the application, such as components, containers, and redux. 

The components directory might contain the various reusable components that make up the user interface of the application. These components might be organized into subdirectories based on their purpose or the part of the application they are used in. 

The container's directory might contain "smart" components that are responsible for managing the state and logic of the application. These components might be connected to a Redux store or some other kind of state management system. 

The redux directory might contain the various Redux-related files for the application, such as reducers, actions, and selectors. These files might be organized into subdirectories based on their purpose or the part of the application they are used in. 

In addition to these directories, you might also have a test directory that contains unit and integration tests
